Strides Poem by Vera Sidhwa

Strides

He strode along with his large boot size,
His demeanor so laid back.
His large hands spoke to me of simplicity,
As shown his aspect.

When he spoke, he skirted somewhat of a smile,
And his words were at once simple and wise.
He was a man I surmised,
To fall in love with.

This man's concept of love though,
Seemed deeply internalized,
Kept far away from the world,
And that spoke to me of his simplicity.

His attention on sports,
And the simple things in life,
Made a as a zither in the air.
I wish he and I could become a pair.
