Some Of Us Were Dreamers

Rating: 5.0

Some of us were dreamers
Some of us were fools
But everyone of us
Had our choices to choose

Jimmy took the long train
Into Chicago city
It being the year 1930
Became a construction worker
And a millionaire later to be

And as Olivia
Did arrive
Into New York City
Found a job
In a factory
And grew rich
And old and happy

While Jonnie
Never left the farm
His daddy gave to him
And remained poor
Until death came
To take him away
Into eternity

Henry was the
Joyous fellow
Who never had a worry
Went to college
Became a lawyer
And died young
In a heart attack
Leaving a rich wife
Who later remarried

And though they lived
Through times
As hard as hell

But in their hearts
And in their minds
They will always be
Friends
