On An Ordinary Day Poem by abu tarek md tahsin

On An Ordinary Day

Rating: 5.0

Dawn breaks over the empty streets

Stained in love
My eyes open
With you all tangled up
On my bare chest
Softly breathing
And I fear to get up
To disturb you sleeping

My bones ache
I slide from bed
To wake you up
With a cup of coffee
And some bread
Covered in marmalade

And we enjoy silence together
As the warmth of the day
Glows bright in your face

Years arrive
Like birds in a morning of spring
And we grow young
In each other's arms

We take showers together
And hurriedly dress
For the day

And as I leave through the door
You hold to my wrist
And pull me backwards
And kiss me hard
And push me through the door

I run towards the drive way
To catch my waiting taxi
Which hurls through the traffic
On an ordinary day

A perfect mood to celebrate an ordinary day makes it extraordinary. Lovely images created with feel. Thank you so much dear abu tarek.

Well conceived and nicely crafted in persuasive expressions with conviction. Lovely and very passionate.
