Tennessee Sunshine
all along the river
through the valley
of the Tennessee plains
sings she
of blue jays
and blues
under the warmth
of the mid-summer rain
and she sings
in raucous melody
of songs sung
in memory
of days passed
silently under the
stillness of the
great Tennessee plains
oh she sings
of Tennessee sunshine
oh she sings
of passersby
and
of memories
as old as wine.
