Snowflakes Poem by RAJ NANDY

Snowflakes

SNOWFLAKES
Through the silence of the night,
I could hear those snowflakes softly fall!
It covered the ground and window sill,
And those trees both short and tall!
I lay snugly in my bed, dreaming of an
ideal land,
An utopia of my dreams, which seemed so
close at hand!
When suddenly the door bell rang!
It was the milkman standing with his can!
Outside it was sunny and bright,
The earth lay covered in a mantel of white!
I prayed to the Lord that may this snow,
Cleanse the earth of all its sin;
Wearing this garment of virgin white, -
Let us all make a new beginning!
