Silence Poem by Virginia Drungil

Silence

Rating: 5.0

suddenly words leave me
I am standing in the middle of myself
facing the silence

facing four open corners
of the whole wide world
of the known universe
at the crossroads
I am lost

all that I known before
is not that relevant
like yesterday's news
suddenly I am tabula rasa

a stranger staring back at me
in the mist of the mirror
we've met before I am sure
I am not you - as I once was

do I owe you something
a confession, an explanation
a few kind words of concern perhaps

nothing is certain everything is relative
you are facing a line-up
truth of the moment wisdom of self

redeem your words while entering me
I am you as you are
I am silence

Sometimes silence can be hard to reckon with. Enjoyed the read.
