Last Rays Of Sunset Poem by Virginia Drungil

Last Rays Of Sunset

Rating: 4.5

here we are you and I
living parallel lives
unsuspecting and unassuming

there's something unexplained about
the way things work simply serendipity
there's clearing amidst the clouds and
the advent of an effortless courage and grace

can I now inhale the air you breath
can I jump inside your thoughts and dreams
deep like the blue aquamarine sea

you and I shall remain what we were before
only older and wiser
facing the future, embracing the paradox
perplexed and in awe
of the grace and the beauty

of what we became at the end of the road
just before last rays of sunset set on fire
our wide open eyes
