Shelter Poem by Anil Kumar Panda

Shelter

Rating: 4.8

With the cracking of the dawn
And with the fatigued moon
Falling on the hill side lake,
With anonymous clouds freezing
Over rugged terrain in their
Confusion to map out a track;

Sprightly sparrows with wide
Wings charting ripples across
Barren sky in sketchy moods,
Falling upon grassy lands as balls
Of wool and rolling to pick up
Slithering worms in muddy hoods;

Shaded roots sheltering song of
A pair playing with hearts that
Love has taken in its tricky grip,
Golden ray comes riding chariot
Of a magnanimous breeze to
Caress lovelorn minds to sleep.
