I've got a friend; his name is "Bill"; in truth he's Willard.
He grew up where there could be a cold and snowy blizzard.
Now he lives in the far off tropic isle of Fiji....
where all precipitation is wiped off with a squeegee.
In New York State [USA] there was no rugby,
but now, about Rugby 7s, ...... Bill does 'bug' me.
"Bri, Fiji has a chance to be among this year's winners.
Watch it on TV.Skip all your lunches and dinners! "
So, he sent me a "link" to watch it, live, on computer.
Somehow he seemed to think I'd become a "rooter".....
for the Fiji team.I did NOT wish to make Bill sad,
so I emailed back:
"Hey Bill, I watched....and I was glad....
I did! "
[Ok. I lied.]
(February....4....2018)
At least you are honest, Bri I'm talking about the lie And for that you'll get an Aye ten I hope will satisfy. Thanks Bri.
A great funny write that conveys how to value friendship. For all that we value honesty, people still lie for various reasons. White lies are common to make our friends or loved ones feel good. Sometimes they are necessary part of many social interactions.
