Resurrection Poem by Lawerence Mize, Sr.

Resurrection

Rating: 5.0

The spirit moves
Yet the body is still
Paralyzed by a numbing
Unending fear

Time and place
Seem caught in space
Eyes scan the room
Seeking the familiar...the safe

Out in the dark
Images form
Things take focus
Room suddenly warm

Awakened early
To a feeling of dread
Anxious and shaking
Fighting the demons in my head

Left to wonder
Was I dreaming or dead
Time to get moving
Face the day ahead
