Real Dost(friend)

It is time to remember
about childhood friend there
in my village
who lived on the outskirt of an edge

very simple and poor
yet I kept the doors open
for him to enter my home
I stood at the gate and welcomed

I liked him most
bit because he was dost(friend)
he had pride of being honest
and showed it to his best

he helped parents
and presented
some earning after labor
he took it as personal honor

I miss him even today
he never asked any favor any day
he was real gem in my mind
how could i ever find friend like him?
