Pool Of Tears Poem by Vera Sidhwa

Pool Of Tears

Pool of Tears

You wept a deep, deep stream of tears.
You stunned me and brought me fear.
I realized that you were sad
But wondered if anybody had been to you bad.

You tried to rise up to level.
I mattered much to me.
You tried so hard but fell.
And I in my deep thought did dwell.

You of all people you see
Did tears in my eyes verily.
You told me that nothing ever went wrong.
But your words was a lying song.

You then got up by yourself.
I did nothing to help.
You had the power in you.
That power made me love you.
