Only One Race Poem by Rm. Shanmugam Chettiar

Only One Race

Genealogy reminds us
That we all came from the same place
And that we all were once thick black.
We have our stock from Africa.

Humans migrated to Asia,
From where they spread to Europe
And Australia through islands
And America through the Pacific.

All the primitive all over the earth
Resemble Africans to prove it.
Paleness of the skin crept in
Barely eight thousand years back.

The white race Australians
And Americans are from Europe.
So white, yellow, brown or black
All are one with no supremacy.

The holy book, the holy cross,
The holy thread and the holy ash
Make you no better than to know
That the whole mankind is one race.
