Oh, I Wish I'D Looked After Me Eyes Poem by Srivishnu Rentala

Oh, I Wish I'D Looked After Me Eyes

I would have thought twice and been wise
If I'd known such an issue would arise.
All the hours of staring at the television,
has got me into this disastrous position.
Oh I wish I'd looked after me eyes.

Struggling to read till the dead of the night
without any proper source of light,
must've contributed to my poor eyesight.
I should have listened to my doctor's advice,
Oh, I wish I'd looked after me eyes.

Now I have to suffer with an extra provision
that is supposed to help improve my vision.
Put on a diet of carrots and a boiled egg,
to watch television, I now have to beg.
Oh I Wish I'd looked after me eyes.

Movies in theaters and video games forever,
I would have stopped immediately whatsoever
If I'd known that I needn't lament and torment,
and curse and resent about my hard present.
Oh I wish I'd looked after me eyes.

How I laughed at my friend's spectacles
as they made him look ugly and skeptical.
But now here I am wearing a pair of opticals.
So if anyone suggests you to care for your eyes,
then you better, else you're in for a surprise.
Oh, I wish I'd look after me eyes.
