The Wrath Of Hunger Poem by Srivishnu Rentala

The Wrath Of Hunger

Is it possible for us to procure,
a time with no trace of nefarious sufferings?
A myriad of children cannot secure
food, considered now as a daily blessing.

Immeasurable times we find in the news,
Limitless people falling prey to hunger's spell
The dearth of food infuses a fatal bruise
on plenty of humans and animals as well.

Loads of untouched food is thrown away,
while millions are begging for a morsel of grain.
When can we erase their despair and dismay?
Can we really end their terrible pain?

Or are we arriving at a situation such as
'Food, food everywhere; not a crumb to eat'?
We here are fancying vibrant tastes whereas,
hunger has caused many to groan and bleat.

Think about the time you disposed of
a meal that didn't satisfy your savor needs.
That preposterous action of yours,
deprives many people a well-nourished feed.

Before we can cherish a lucrative snack,
think once about the hungry man's plight.
Let's give them a future nice and bright
Hunger is something that we must annihilate.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
It surely hurts everyone to the core when they see a helpless person sleep to bed without anything to digest upon. It's all in our hands.Only we can join hands to save the world from hunger, for a morsel saved is a death braved.
