Not What It Seems Poem by NiQi Deveaux

Not What It Seems

Rating: 5.0

Trees are buddin, Bees a buzzin
Im missing you something fierce
I wait patiently, always on the cusp
Waiting in silence, my ear be pierced

With the sound of your voice, calling my name
Sayin darling, honey.. I'm home
But not yet, clock still ticking, moon rising on high
Stinging me to my soul

But not nearly enough to make me stop
No, no, no.... There is no way
My heart has found a home in you...
Forever there, frozen, it will stay.

No matter where I go or what I do
There's no way I'd be set free
You are my treasure, my world, no doubt in my mind
My willingness to be

The sun goes down, comes up again
The same one that you adore
The stars whisper your name, through my lonesome nights
Je t'dore, je t'dore, Mi amour

I know exactly where you are, if you feel lost...
you're here in my heart
Though you may think at times that you're alone
You're not, we're never apart

The fabric of the universe
Has us nestled in in her infinite breast
Your name, your name beats powerfully
Inside my heavy chest

Only time and space, constructions of man
Can get bound up in between
But your soul and mine are entangled now
It's something that can't be seen
