Mother Nature has her way with me.
At the first sign of spring she sends a bumblebee.
And then appears the butterfly
always catching my watchful eye.
Along comes the robin with breast of red
hopping and stopping with bent down head.
And while he’s searching for a worm
I, myself start to squirm.
For the bumblebee has found my ear
and now I know he’s way too near.
So I quickly shoo him away.
Now Mother Nature will do her thing
and I will listen to each bird sing.
I welcome the creatures she sends my way
and on every warm and sunny day
you’ll find me taking in her gifts
and as I do my spirit lifts
as I marvel at her sights of the day.
