Naior Five Poem by Farid Ahmed Dulal

Naior Five

Beside the banks of Alakananda there's Ashoke jungle
In the rainy season fishes play, in autumn there're meadows of Kash
The Kingfisher and falcon live together, the swans swimin the marsh
My tiredness reduces looking at your exquisite beauty, in crazy winds
I live in a emerald village beside the Shaluk swamp
I satisfy in roads and vehicles, though I feel uneasy in your water and boat
I'm an impolite and idiot, you're fresh, supple like the serene lake
So you went to the bank of Mandakini, in your Naior

Your Naior is but emotion, at the same time a social obligation
I despise your silliness; I dislike your indecent manners
Surroundings, all formalities stabbed in the bosom of Fate
You can stay far for the time being, but relationship can not be severed
Love between you and me shall go on lifelong
Let the world be left at one side and our honeymoon shall be dreamland.
