My Only Concern Poem by Edwina Reizer

My Only Concern

The inequities of this life are huge,
too huge for any of we.
But the rich, the poor are all the same
as they reach their destiny.

Far beyond this place called home
is where we all shall go.
The good, the bad are all the same
and shall find they all outgrow

All of our foibles, all our pain
as we leave in search of love.
The search is right within us.
For it's what we're made of.

My only concern is when I leave
will you be with me again?
And will the love that I'm made of
begin anew or end?
