My Dream Figure Poem by Soumita Sarkar

My Dream Figure

Rating: 5.0

Some eyes go exactly green
To serve food that seems sin
Few can hog as much as in
But record not an inch gain
In terms of weighing
Any stuff fried in cheese and butter
With loads of cream, fat and sugar
They care not dieting
Never go exercising
Yet get all glances
Rolling up and down
At their booty and gown
'Oh! Marvellous shape till date
Nobody like you in town
Tell me what you do dear,
to get that envious figure? '
At some far fag end
Of this crispy conversation
An isolated soul….sighs!
Who visits a diet studio
Plans and replaces cardio
Keeps fighting with aerobics
To have a size like this with
Raw vegetables, tubers and fish
Follows whatever who ever tells
Attain a dream like never before
Asks a mirror to show curves
That can shake every nerve
Alas! Days and months and years
Cannot help to reach there
Nothing seems working faster
Nature proves tremendously unfair

One fine day….. You shall curse
When says a distant stranger
Who has no business either
Stares at your middle diameter
'Why don't you care?
You can look better
had you been a bit leaner
with a diet and exercise chart
ready for a new start.'

So today I grow bold
With all those curve
My body, I love, I have
My beauty lies in my heart
My mind is natural and safe
Not an unreal fantasy to chase
I care and love myself
I am proud of myself
