My Day Poem by Soumita Sarkar

My Day

Rating: 4.5

Many things I do in a day
Are far from my liking
Faces and grins I respond
Not are spontaneous as so.
Work keeps me busy
What gain I though?
The force that drives the
grass through the earth
I doubt its effect on my day.
Acceptance they say is must
Satisfaction should be with us
And the defeat I face
every moment of the day,
Is but an experience of learning,
they say.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
While pondering over my profession and other aspects of my day, I came up with the idea of writing this poem which was very spontaneous indeed. 10.05.2013 Ahmedabad
