Lay me
Amongst the melody that is Mozart
Weave his notes in my lank dark hair
Spirit me to a world of horses
Pacing
Triumphant trumpets fill the air
Heartbeats to thunder glorious
Harlequin with masquerade mask
Ostrich feathers to tease the breeze with
Smile on me
Is all I ask
Fill my sky with Michelangelo
Cherubs
Outreaching hands
Offer me spark filled lightening
Whisk me to foreign lands
Let my breath savor scents of lavender
And grass that's freshly mown
Know that all is glorious
Bed of roses
In mind full dreams
You're never alone......
Sensuous and sumptuous images and emotions and love told splendidly.
Bursting with beauty from a marvalous march of melody. Well done my friend! 10+
An elegant poem! ! ! Imagery about romance in a gorgeous setting of words. Amazing poem. Vera Sidhwa
last stanza is truly elegant pacifying romance in a gorgeous setting of words, thanks for sharing.
A beautiful poem that is very cleverly constructed. The gentle dreamlike rhythm is punctuated by ecstatic bursts which grab the reader's attention. Yet the opening and closing softness gives a coherence to the poem as whole. Variable line lengths, alliteration and occasional rhymes enhance this rhythm. A great achievement.
Karen this is a beautiful write. Full of sensual imagery that pleases even the weary. It's power also draws sadness as when even grandure is diminished through loneliness. Such as I... I like it very much though.
