Medusa Poem by David Wood

Medusa

Rating: 4.5

Self-opinionated stony mouthed
He sat and fired off criticisms with
Several snake heads shouting all at once.

People buckled under his savage attacks
Reeling back under the weight of
His slingshots ricocheting off computer screens.

He was perfect in every way. Every time
He looked in the mirror he would smile
At his perfection with a twinkle in his eye.

He was the master of his craft and in his
Mind he was excellent in every way
A true paragon of virtue vainly wearing the
Emperors very own clothes.

The title says it all about the snake headed monster performing tricks. Nice poem.

Hi David. From knowing my father I realized he is but one of countless. A war on rotten cannot be won. You can't cure rotten people. They just are. liked reading, take care.

There are such Medusas all around! So bloated with self conceit and self importance with venomous fangs ready to bite! Beautifully put! !
