Lift Me Up Poem by Dillian Hansen

Lift Me Up

Rating: 5.0

Trying to Keep my feet on the ground
Truly not as bad as it sounds
Crushed by weight
I really couldn't take
Felt like I was locked down

But in one day it shifts
Presented with a gift
I'm no longer carrying that heavy weight around

Having it all taken off my shoulders
Some wisdom was learned
This year am one year older

With the sun shinning down
And lightness all around
You now understand why
I am trying to keep my feet On the ground :)

A well thought out poem. I love the rhyme of profundity and reality, focussed and factual. Thanks for sharing Dillian.
