Pitty River Poem by Dillian Hansen

Pitty River

Rating: 3.8

Awaiting near a river
of girth and heavy flow
a man awaits his boat
"were ever will I go? "

I can look up stream
and see where pitty starts
I can look down stream
and see a loss of heart

In front of me a tug,
Toeing a junk filled barge.
On it sits a 100 men
I wonder; who is in charge?

Why would they haul trash?
To me this seems bizarre,
because at no place along old pitty
will you find ~ a junk yard.

On my boat I race
its destination I must know.
Because this tug serves no meaning
and that garbage has better places to go.

20 minutes later "OH NO"
it beggins to sink!
but to my complete surprise
the men on board did not blink.

I dont understand
but I can tell you what I think
tug a man with pitty
and they will always sink.
