Life As You Call It... Poem by Miethi Goswami

Life As You Call It...

Rating: 4.9

I wish I could still the perpetual time,
Hear whispers of the noise,
And uproar of the silence.

I wish I could redden my blood,
Make my tears taste sweet,
Dream with open eyes, and,
Fly without wings.

I wish I could count all the stars,
Chase the moon when the sun is out,
And see a rainbow,
When it's raining hard.

Alas! There are laws of nature,
That curb your desire;
But, don't you worry,
As life is planned in a way,
Painted under God's sway,
To satiate the greedy heart,
Whether you call life a science or an art.
