K U M A R M A N I ....[ Kumarmani Mahakul: Poet Extraordinaire, Writes An Acrostic Entitled " Bri Edwards"; Short ] E

Rating: 5.0

Kissed by Kumarmani's poem I am.
'U' should NOT think this** is a sham.
Many a times I've thought the same of me,
And what he says fits me, Bri, to a "T".
'R' we not blessed to hear his version?
Must have been, for him, a diversion, ...
Away from subjects LESS mundane!
Now the truth has finally been told,
In words, of Kumarmani, gilt, with gold! !

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
Kumarmani wrote a complimentary poem 'bout little old me, Bri aka Brian. He sent it to my PH site as a "Comment About You". And, thankfully, he also submitted it as one of his poems on PH.I need all the compliments and publicity that I can possibly get, ....in order to override the mostly ghastly, insane, UNcomplimentary things people (like my ex-wives)have said about me! ! !

It was AFTER I SENT my K U M A R M A N I (untitled at the time) poem to him (as a poem commment on HIS poem)that I noticed two things I have now "corrected" in the copy being submitted now.[[well, one correction I DID NOT REALLY 'make', but I made mention AFTER the poem about how line #2 might be, sadly, ........misinterpreted! ! ! ]]

The 'correction' I actually made was to add a comma after "gilt" in the last line.I find "gilt" defined as an adjective and as a noun, but, without the comma.....[ I LIKE COMMAS ], ..... a reader might take "gilt" to be a verb. The verb meaning to cover with gold is "gild", not "gilt".I didn't want to feel GUILTY of using the 'wrong' word! ! !
COMMENTS OF THE POEM

Kumarmani is the epitome of a PH member. He leaves comments aplenty and answers the same. His English is better than most Americans. (Most Americans slaughter the tongue) He is rapt with religion tho, and probably beyond correction. Still, he is my friend.

A poet like Kumarmani is worthy of all the praise. In return you have done a fantastic job equally worthy of praise. Really enjoyed. A ten ++ for you. I wish you would have added here Kumarmani’s poem too. Anyway I will catch it on his site.

Sri Kumaramani Mahakul is a great contemporary poet and a great asset for this Site. Bri Edwards is equally great and versatile poet who has enriched this Site by his worthy contribution. My salutation to both the poets. (Sri/Smt are the words we use in India before the names like we use in English as Mr./Mrs.)

He is a poet who has risen to great stature through sheer hard work and dedication to the task at hand and has hundreds of poems to his credit! He is widely read, a man sincere and diligent! A befitting tribute to him!
