Journey Poem by James Hunter

Journey

Rating: 5.0

As I opened my eyes, the snow started to fall
The magnificent beauty I just stared in awe
The silence was deafening, no sound to be heard
My mind had no thoughts, my mouth had no words
My eyes both could see, but they could not define
Not one single shape or object of kind
The light was so bright, but pleasing to see
The warmth that I felt was as warm as could be
I know not where I am or where I will go,
But something is pulling and it's not pulling slow
The speed is increasing, the feeling intense
What's happening to me, this doesn't make sense
Then all at once to my eyes with fear,
I was in the presence and of whom it was clear
For God the Almighty was gazing at me
His arms opened wide His Son by his knee
He said in a voice that I recognized
Welcome to thy Kingdom, I then realized
That I was in Heaven, all truth to be known
Another lost sheep has found its way home
