Jade And Nightshade Poem by Justin Gildow

Jade And Nightshade

Jade waits for me in the graveyard
By the fountain
She waits for me at midnight
With the vigil of a silent angel

When I arrive
She leads me to the flower garden of nightshade
And she shows me all the lovely flowers
And picks a couple of her favorites to show me

Not that far away
A few maidens are making crowns out of flowers and green stalks
And they also pick flowers to make their own flower bouquets

Jade shows me her many elements of nightshade
She also shows me the many landscapes that glitter with the magic of the night

We reach the altar of the 12 constellations
Jade tells me that if we solve the puzzle we'll be able to experience the stars upclose
After a few minutes of trying to solve the puzzle
We finally do
And the stairs that have the constellations engraved on them materialize before our eyes
Leading up to the stars
Leading up to the skies

Jade takes my hand in hers
And we walk up the steps
