Inherent Resolution Poem by Tirupathi Chandrupatla

Inherent Resolution

Rating: 5.0

As we rejoice
One more year
Slips by
Without notice.

New Year
Resolutions made
Last year
Are fresh in mind.

Sincere I was
True to my friends
And to all my
Relatives and neighbors.

What if
Some resolutions
Weren't met?
I'm deeply satisfied.

All that matters
Is to be true to one's self
I'll keep doing
What I do earnestly always.

2022 was a horrible year with war, one crisis after another and over here three prime ministers in as many months. I won't be making resolutions though, they never come true.
