I Wedded Years Back Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

I Wedded Years Back

I wedded years back

Really blessed
With life so much chased
But I have lived
So eased

Forty five years of long life
Together and like razor sharp knife
It gave me two beautiful children
And made life really heaven

"I have yellow teeth" she told at first meeting
I smiled in person while chatting
She had one break after engagement
I could read her at that moment

I have never looked back
When life was hard and everything was at stake
She kept on with simplicity
Managed home with children at rare ability

I may celebrate it with children
Some 20 or 25 are joining me even
I want to see the happiness of childhood
All come daily to play with me from neighborhood

What shall I carry with me?
When time shall come to flee
With no more help from any one
"Dada, Dada* they all shout, meaning grandpa grand pa
