I Weep More Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

I Weep More

Mother always used to tell
Never open out or spell
That will cause your downfall
And may be construed as bad call

She was only my hope
She may guide me not to flop
But I wanted progress non stop
And wanted to reach on top

From books, she used to quote
And nicely relate
With meanings and usages
I was unable to understand at my age

“You are female”
And shall be threatened by male
“Stand on your own feet”
Make fully prepared and feel fit

Today she is no more
And I feel sore
I am standing before her grave
Calm and peaceful with more tears to have

Why one should weep?
And keep
All memories alive
When not believed and lived really!

I weep more and stand in silence
She understood my dilemma and stance
I was determined to move ahead
Before she was dead

I Weep More
