I Long More Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

I Long More

Mom, I feel now you were brave
Still guiding from grave
Your face comes up before eyes
That makes me to fight and try

What did you not give?
Oh, you said forgive
To all who deceived
And not received well

Mom, I still remember
You were there
To call me stupid
And provide silently the lead

I never fell back
Even if so much was at stake
Your words were humming in ears
I still feel it even after years

You were heavily down with sentence
And made it known
That you shall never compromise
If breached the promises

I feel sad about your absence
Why all children need your presence?
Why only one soul is so dear?
I long more from all to hear
