Hiding Tears Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

Hiding Tears

Hiding tears

I hear you mom
And find your wisdom
No one can beat you
Or compete through

I lie on bed
Almost dead
You are showing no sign of tiredness
Or no sign of fatigue on face

Day time you go in nearby houses
Work as maid and come back with curse
Many children play happily in courtyard
But hear not a single word

You have waited for me to speak
But I am so weal
Physically handicapped
And mentally retarded

I can see through eyes
And feel your cries
You are hiding tears
And bear it with great pain
