Hero's Poem by Lawerence Mize, Sr.

Hero's

Hero's can come
In dirty blue jeans
Coats and ties
Any old thing
It takes an event
When we're in need
A simple touch
To help us grieve
A hug on a day
When things are low
A knowing look
When the tears start to flow
A Hero's there
To take the lead
The wonder of their doings
Their remarkable seed
They give us hope
Happiness too
Some never know
The good that they do
When they pass
They leave such a hole
Doesn't matter
Whether They're young or old
The world's at a loss
This is surely true
When I think of Hero's
I've known a few
One's like your Dad
Looking down
Smiling on you

Absolutely true; I love what and how you express here from the depth of your soul. Great words.
