Grasping Poem by Tara Crown

Grasping

Rating: 4.5

Eternally grasping and never reaching
I think about you all of the time.
The sky is so gray and cold and so am I
and you are on my mind.
My day slips by
hanging on a burdened thread
and your face is all I can see.
Voices, people, stirrings all around
yet its your words that resound
in my head.
I want to touch you
smell you, feel you.
Look you in the eyes and
breathe you in.
Wrap my arms around you
put my lips on yours and
taste your sweet divinity.
Tangle my fingers in your hair
the nape of your neck
and be full of your presence.
Grasping, grasping
yet I cannot have it in my hands.
And it's your smile again
inside my head.

Yes, the longing and desire reach into the reader and fill her/him with the same emotions. Powerful stuff. Warm regards, Gina.

It's always inside your head though... such longing and desire in your lines.
