DontDoThat

panic stops here.
you never knew my motives
never questioned my thoughts on things
how could you go and blame me?
I was the bad guy, the one using you to feel not so alone
but you used me first, so can we just call it square?

maybe it would have been easier for you if i showed you my insides
I'll rip them out and lay them on the floor for you to search through
you could keep what you find, but i think you'd return them if you had a chance
i know if i had a second chance, I'd do exactly the same thing

you could never look me in the eye
never were able to tell me something that wasn't a lie
i always just let it pass like it was a phase
and that we would make it out strong
i was always just looking for a reason to stay
when i knew the answer was for me to leave, walk away

was i always destined to just walk away?

the moon beams light I've never seen
if you're quiet enough, you can hear the stars scream
'Don't you walk away don't you dare think to leave me! '
but it always turned out in the end the sun sings
and i will always be viewed as the one who was to leave
but if you could read my mind you could see
you hurt me in a way no one has accomplished before
because you literally changed me down to the core

I'll fight back to become a better me
that's why i left you that's why now i sing
you didn't support all my childish dreams
but I'm done talking about you now.
I'm done talking about you now.
I'm done talking about you now.

Sometimes the ones we loved the most.
Are the ones who we must let go.
Sometimes the sweet bad for you especially if in large doses.
Even the ones closest can drift apart,
Bring about a new wave and new start.
Changes for the good, only time will tell and only if you truly know yourself that well.
As much as you think you see sincerity of such clarity,
Often we must continue to repeat the same mistakes.
    Is the cup yet full.
    Is enough truly enough.
A day left behind in both the heart and mind.
In this moment it is something you and only you can define. (Report) Reply

Before we grow old and die.
I lift the glass to my mouth,
