Do Virtuous Deeds Without Considering What You Have Is Meagre!
Do virtuous deeds to everyone whoever it may be,
Without considering that what you have is very meagre,
And without refusing that you do not have anything!
Those deeds will gradually fulfill the benefits of virtues
As if the collecting food pot of the ascetic gets full
As he goes from one door step to another for alms!

This poem 'Do virtuous deeds without considering what you have is meagre! ' is a translation by me of a poem from Tamil literature 'Naalatiyaar'
நேரிசை வெண்பா
இறப்பச் சிறிதென்னா தில்லென்னா தென்றும்
அறப்பயன் யார்மாட்டுஞ் செய்க - முறைப்புதவின்
ஐயம் புகூஉந் தவசி கடிஞைபோல்
பைய நிறைத்து விடும்.99 ஈகை, நாலடியார்
