The voice of the cuckoo
...singing in the rainy season is unpleasant!
The harsh words spoken by the people
...who have no stamina and courage are unpleasant!
Failing of the sufficient rain during cultivating
…season is unpleasant to the country!
The plowing carried out by elderly bullocks /
…roughish uncontrollable bullocks are unpleasant!
A wonderful view of Tamil literature. Thank you for sharing, Dr. Kanniappan
Thank you very much, my friend, for reading and offering excellent comment.
who have no soft heart= can this mean வீர மிலாளர்? Probably the poet's intention is that one who has no courage, can not use abusive and harsh words, which may bring trouble to him, from which he will not be in a position to save.
Dear friend, You are perfectly right! In the above said poem, both words are given as alternative! If anyone has contact with hard-core fellows with no soft corner is unpleasant; As you said, if a person who is not strong enough speaks harsh words to others, it results in disharmony! Thanks for your comment. I shall make necessary change!

I would like to translate this poem
This poem too has a classical touch. Certain things or actions are bound to have unpleasant result if done under ominous circumstances. Thanks, Dr. Kaniappan.
