Destruction To Choose Mindlessly Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Destruction To Choose Mindlessly

There will be no rush to get back,
To a 'normalcy' had.
Creating division, confusion.
And conflicts to enjoy.
Believing them to implement,
Gave reason to imploy...
The unconscious of ignorant arrogance.

There will be no rush to get back,
To those days of the 'Wild West'.
Stirring up havoc.
With a doing done to call the 'Cavalry'.
An army component mounted on horseback.
Declaring innocent inhabitants living,
On their own native land to be enemies.

There will be no rush to get back,
After a diseasing epidemic...
Sweeping indiscriminately,
Through every territory taking lives.
Using a virus.
With this bomb to drop.
From the air no one can see.
But left to believe...
That a rush to get back to a 'normalcy' had,
May not be to the best of anyone's interest.
To leave lessons once again,
Not to learn or comprehend from them to repeat...
When the opportunity arrives,
Yet 'again'.
To teach greed exclusively for a few to feast.
Division and conflicts to create self defeat.
Will never leave those rich, poor...
Disenfranchised inflicted with disparities.
Left without a World,
Swirling to twirl in a Universe.
With its beauty gone.
Darkened by the stupidity of ungrateful fools.
Choosing destruction of all kinds mindlessly!
