Deep Waters Poem by Markos Anestis

Deep Waters

Rating: 3.0

Deep Waters encapsulating the granite Ridge
Sombre and Sheeny towering high
Chiseled off in time a salty fringe
Slowly crumbled as the waves go dry

Cerulean Lustration
Titanium midday
Below my feet a fire
Sprinkled with desire
Endless seems this Bay

Endless is the heat
Aridness tormenting my lips
I drink but not I find ease
Not under the Cedar's shadow
Not even by the gentle breeze

I only gaze at this Reef of solitude
It stands peculiarly in pride
My thoughts becoming multitude
Deep Waters my surrounding Bride
