Child Is No More Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

Child Is No More

Rating: 5.0

Yes, still inside womb and died
Hopes never turned alive
It was pure case of new birth
But taken over by death

Miscarriage or by tender age
It was black day on page
One soul failed to emerge
Lived in dark and bolted cage

No one is at ease
Till cry is heard with release
From mother’s womb with happiness
What a lovely shine on face!

Alas, the hope is short lived
He child is still inside and suffocated
Mother and child both are at risk
She has failed to experience kick

No more bright sun
No more trial or run
It is all over
Child is no more
