Child Of Her Age Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

Child Of Her Age

Child of her age

It turns out to be sordid
For nothing wrong you did
Yet the fate cornered
Her luck to be centered

Yes it happens
When the hell let looses on heaven
Everything remains unseated
When you remain ill fated!

The girl child is subjected to torture
When the future is dark and unsure
She has been brought up by step mother
And then everything befalls her

God only knows about her
For whole of the life, she has to bother
Not for step mother
But other family member as well

Let her come out of cage and manage
Feel the same innocent child of her age
Go to school or stay at home for domestic need
But not tortured or harassed and not given food to feed
