Bribe

I ask a price of his character
Promptly he shows me a tag
On which he fixes his rate
I agree and he consumes me
But feed many a mouth at home

I lure him
With my wanton abundance
And easily he sells his chastity
Like a promiscuous woman
Though i do not play with his body
But have his soul to engage
In immoral trafficking
And consciousness
In a compromising position
With his own modesty and integrity.

Poem of the Day

poet George Gordon Byron

So we'll go no more a-roving
So late into the night,
Though the heart still be as loving,
And the moon still be as bright.
