Being Poor Poem by Anil Kumar Panda

Being Poor

Rating: 4.7

I saw her begging in the streets
I saw her sleeping on the footpath
I saw her mangled body in the ditch
She was killed in an interracial bloodbath

I saw her body taken away
I saw her clothes eaten by a dog
I saw her pale eyes open for justice
As her body was thrown like a rotten log

Poverty put us into the arms of nothingness. A deeply moving and poignant write. Very touching.

Where is justice? You have expressed homelessness which is world wide. A memory that will be etched in your mind.
