Banquet Of The Redeemed Poem by Axel Durman

Banquet Of The Redeemed

Rating: 4.5

We await 'til those crowns be set on our heads.
‘til you bid us sit on thrones you've set.
How long the wait, 'til we kiss your scepter?
For as long as your glory is in heaven, we shall trust to your appointed time.
We await your messenger of Peace.
Our soul is overjoyed with triumph.
Our morning breaks with singing.
To commune with you O Lord.

Your fame shall resound through the universe.
Many shall speak of your glory.
Our hands break the day; our shouts ring in worship.
The evening steals away, not before our hearts are broken.
Our spirits are buoyed at your mercies; we salute you O Lord.

Your name can't be contained ever, heaven and earth declares it.
There's none other God besides you.
So faithful and wondrously true.
All the works of the ungodly will shatter, but you remain established forever.
Your Spirit uncloaks the darkness, if evil should stand before you.
Your law shines in its splendor, only to reveal You O Lord.

O Lord God Almighty, who sits between the Seraphs
Speak to us in your tender mercies.
Open our hearts to receive you.
Bid us to your table, clothed in righteousness and truth.
O Lord Your mercies are from everlasting to everlasting.
Break us and return your people to your Rest.
