At Bri's Home It Is Raining Cats & Dogs, .....Figuratively

I've just experienced a Poem Storm (see another poem) and this is one result.
It may not be everyone's 'cup of tea', but I hope to heck it doesn't, YOU, insult.
But, if you feel insulted (though I don't know how you would be) just 'take it' **.
Don't get emotionally upset disproportionatley (that's a real word; I didn't fake it) .

To be 'raining cats and dogs' is to be raining hard and/or long aka for a long time.
It's actually stop-and-go rain (I made up that phrase) , but it won't wash off all grime.
And it won't wash away all poverty, illiteracy, sickness, hate, lying, or all crimes.
It may wash away some rocks and dirt, even some houses; that happens sometimes.

Ok! Enough of my attempts to be serious! Now for MY preference, which is LEVITY.
On my mate's PC, 'Humor, merriment, or a lack of seriousness', for' levity' I do see.

The rain has stopped again, no longer does a 'brown river', down our front driveway, flow.
I didn't 'hear rain' & so I looked out a nearby window for a bit. That is how I do now know.

Perhaps if rain once again starts falling, I'll hear (in my mind) it raining rats and some mice,
or maybe it will rain instead, for any Entomologists reading this, butterflies, bugs, flies & lice.

I THINK our home's metal roof can handle *** those, and if not, my wife pays all the house bills.
BUT if it starts raining rhinoceri ****, elephants, or dinosaurs I'll be running fast for the hills! *****

DEFINITIONS:

** 'take it' here means 'accept it', maybe 'deal with it'

*** 'handle' here means 'survive' (in this case, not be damaged severely by mice, lice, et al)

**** 'rhinoceri' is the plural noun for more than one rhinoceros (a 'large thick-skinned ungulate mammal of the family Rhinocerotidae')

***** 'running for the hills' means 'fleeing' aka 'escaping by running away'
