Arrival Poem by RAJ NANDY

Arrival

Rating: 4.5

Holding my little grandson in my arms,
I felt that I had finally arrived!
Life has completed a full circle now,
With this legacy of mine!
Though I shall leave this world
For some distant shores;
I shall continue to view the wonders
of our world,
Through his infant eyes!
Leaving behind a part of me
In my children and theirs;
When this mortal frame dissolves
into nothingness,
Ashes to ashes and dust to dust; -
To begin all over again,
The eternal cycle shall forever remain!

I know what you mean - the circle of life. I like the title and it's implication in your poem. Excellent job! You're perceptive.
