A Whisper In The Dark Poem by Matt Burgett

A whisper in the dark
Fast becomes a scream
Shaking your entire body
And waking you from a dream

And with a peak outside
It reveals what you fear
Scaring you so badly
Even jerking out a tear

Then as a monstrous shadow
Dashes by your window
Your heart beats up
As you see it's in the snow

But when the light turns on
The image you see sends a spark
The shadows are all gone
It was just a whisper in the dark
