A Girls Dark Closet 'Curtain Call' Poem by Matt Burgett

A Girls Dark Closet 'Curtain Call'

Rating: 5.0

This is a story
Of a little girl
Who went through Hell
And unimaginable Peril

In a closet so dark
Where inside she was locked
To fend for herself
Hoping no-one would knock

And everyday
Alone there she stood
Sitting in fear that her dad
Would break any bone he could

With all the pain she went through
It should not have been
She wanted to die
In her mind is were she could fly

And until help came
It seemed death was certain
Her life was a play
And it was time to close the curtain

Because no matter what he did
She was never afraid to fall
She knew of no escape
This is her curtain call
